Dr. Kay was born in Korea. She was taught the the ways of this ancient art, known as Acupuncture, by her grandfather. This is something that's a way of life for her family. However, after living in the United States, she chose a completely different path. In 1994 she graduated from Cal State San Bernadino with a Master's in Theatrical Arts for directing. In 2004 she was awarded with the biggest hit movie in Korean history and was recognized as the youngest female director.
Having to consider her family, in 2006 she began medical school. She did very well and was awarded the best student in academia in 2009 and the best internship in 2010. After a long journey she decided to become an Acupuncturist. She finds this work to be her greatest gift to humanity.
